That said, we found plenty of airboat operators along the roadside in the Big Cypress area where you can just turn up and book on the day, and prices were very similar, around $30 per adult. We actually pre-booked but arrived early as we were ahead of schedule, and it was no problem getting onto an earlier tour. Even so, they were fairly busy, especially later in the day, so if you’re visiting during peak times or want a specific time slot, booking ahead is still a good idea.
